A website dedicated to the life and photography of Magnum photo agency founding photographer George Rodger is now online at GeorgeRodgerPhotographs.com
The site has been created by George’s son Jonathan Rodger who manages the collection. Jon told PhotoArchiveNews.com “We have been wanting to do this for some time to allow people to view George’s iconic images all in one place.”
The site already features some of George’s most important images from the Nuba wrestlers through to the second World War with a link to his work for LIFE magazine at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Jon plans to upload many more images and information from the George Rodger portfolios which should include a colour gallery and a selection of prints available to order from the site. The vintage prints collection gallery is already online and available to view by request.
