The Photography Oxford festival runs for the next three weeks and features a number of Press photo events.
Truth & Lies in Press Photography: A lecture by renowned photojournalist, Lefteris Pitarakis. As a strong advocate of ethics in photojournalistic work, Lefteris is involved in a major long-term research project on photojournalism and manipulation. This lecture accompanies the exhibition ‘Designed to Deceive’ at Wadham College, co-curated by Lefteris Pitarakis and Colin Jacobson.

‘Lefteris Pitarakis is a photojournalist with the Associated Press. He has covered many of the conflicts that have blighted the greater Middle East in recent years. His work, together with that of other AP photographers, during the 2006 war between Israell and Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon was shortlisted for a Pullitzer Prize. He is a strong advocate for ethics in photojournalism lecturing widely in the UK, Europe and the US.’
