Stocksy launches video stock

Photo agency Stocksy has launched video stock
Available in 720p, 1080p and 4k. Graded or ungraded.

Bruce Livingstone at the agency told PhotoArchiveNews.com: ” In addition to our highly curated collection of royalty-free stock photography, we are extremely excited to announce the launch of premium grade, artfully selected stock video! Since our launch in 2013, we’ve been blown away by the overwhelming support and love from our clients and community of artists. This year we’ve grown to over 900 contributors, gathered more than 500k hand-selected images and paid out over $4.3M to our members in royalties last year. Our cooperative collection draws its strength from our contributors’ incredible soul, dedication and artistry — and we’re thrilled to be extending that passion to video. Why Video? We’re visual seekers. Video makes us feel connected and holds our attention longer than other forms of media. It monumentally increases our ability to communicate and share emotion. And that’s really what we’re all trying to do, isn’t it? Other than loving video as an art form, we understand that stock video is an integral part of just about everything related to information and design these days, and essential to every designer and video editor’s creative toolkit. That’s where Stocksy comes in. We strive to bring you the best real life moments on video with pricing and licensing options that are simple and seamless. We believe in quality over quantity. To maintain our consistent commitment to high curatorial standards, not unlike our launch of stock images, we’re starting small. We firmly believe that you shouldn’t have to click through pages of search results to find that perfect image — and that won’t change with video. Our video library is growing everyday — available in 720p, 1080p and 4k, graded or ungraded — shot digitally, on mobile, and with film. To celebrate this milestone, we’ll be featuring interviews with talented videographers, tips for shooting on mobile, digital camera roundups, the down-low on shooting video on film, and a contest to win some killer mobile video gear, all month long on the blog. Start browsing some of our most inspired videos in the curated feed now, and stay tuned to the blog for all kinds of video inspiration and goodies!”
