UK based architectural photo agency View Pictures have several new additions to their growing collection of one-off British houses and interiors. One is The Round Tower above, an unusual conversion of a Grade II listed building in Gloucestershire photographed by View photographer Edmund Sumner. The tower was first designed as a Victorian folly on a hill overlooking the village of Siddington, but had fallen into disrepair. Architects De Matos Ryan were commissioned to transform the site, and have introduced a discreet but spacious underground extension. The original views and surrounding landscape have been left untouched, while the main family living spaces are now configured around an open sunken courtyard, giving onto a hidden outdoor swimming pool and terrace.
