• The Daily Mail group of newspapers has sold its regional newspaper arm, Northcliffe Media, to Local World. BBC


• The new-look Match of the Day magazine launched last week, aimed at its loyal audience of football-mad boys aged 7-13.
They say: ‘In the most significant change to the look and feel of the magazine since it launched four years ago, the team used extensive reader research to extend and re-brand the magazine’s most popular sections. Eye-catching new infographics were used to give the audience more gossip, stats, quizzes and funnies than ever before, and a revamped Gear section now incorporates entertainment and lifestyle products.’ Immediate Media Co.

Good Housekeeping, the women’s lifestyle magazine published by Hearst Magazines UK, has a new website. Highlights include: Daily news blog offering up to the minute consumer news, reviews and events from the editorial team.

• IPC Media has announced further digital expansion of 34 brands on Amazon’s recently launched Kindle Fire. To coincide with the roll-out, Amazon has selected six of IPC’s leading brands – Marie Claire, woman&home, Decanter, Cycle Sport, Ideal Home and Uncut – for promotion with a special offer for readers to claim a free 60-day trial period.
