FOCAL International’s Footage Training Week, set to kickoff Monday July 8th, offers learning and networking opportunities for media professionals of all kinds. The weeklong course provides a thorough introduction to the issues, challenges and new developments in the world of footage archives, including sessions on film history, restoration and an on-site look at the infrastructure of a footage licensing operation. Included in the Training Week package for the first time are two daylong conferences, one on metadata and the other on copyright, which are both open to the general public.
