Bringing to a close another positive week of news for the industry are two of New York’s finest celebrity photo agencies INF and Startraks Photo who have announced a merger creating a brand new global agency called Instar Images.

INF President Chris Doherty spoke with PAN this morning giving us the heads up on his new arrangement with Startraks: “Hi Will, I hope you’re well. I thought I’d give you some breaking news about an exciting new company launch we’ve been working on for the last six months or so. – INF has merged with Startraks Photo to create a brand new agency called Instar. …We will be officially launching within days, complete with a brand new web platform and a combined archive of over 10 million images and videos. We’ll have direct-sales offices in New York, London and Sydney and we’ll immediately have high-quality, comprehensive coverage of celebrity events, paparazzi, news and fashion from around the world. There will be no “ramping up” of our content.. It’s all already in place, so we’ll be hitting the ground running on Day 1 and rapidly building on that solid base.
