Here’s one for PAN’s German region based readers – The German photo licensing market association BVPA has published its latest image pricing guide – available in print or as an ePaper.
They say: ‘How much can I charge for using images on a poster? How much for use in an online newspaper? Can I charge a surcharge for increased production costs? What about cross-media image publications? Calculating usage rights for photos can be a tricky task for both professional newcomers and seasoned image professionals.’
The guide, called IMAGE HONORARE, has been put together with the participation of German photography associations who work together to determine the current fee situation for image usage rights, the results of which are in the guide.
