Reuters news agency has launched another AI powered tool this week, an AI-voiced packaged video content in Spanish and Portuguese which will allow customers to create engaging and informative video content.
They say: ‘This Innovative offering combines the power of AI with Reuters expertise in news and information to provide high-quality video content in greater volumes for media customers, giving them more options in selecting the content that will most engage their audiences. Videos voiced in English are translated and voiced using AI technology, helping to meet the growing demand for in-language video products from Reuters Latin American customers.’
Alphonse Hardel, Head of Reuters News Agency told PAN: “’We have seen a growing demand for our in-language video products from customers and this enables us to deliver more of what they are asking for.”

The AI-voiced Spanish and Portuguese packaged videos are the result of a collaboration with ElevenLabs, an AI audio research and product company. The videos are translated using tools honed by Reuters journalists, voiced using AI, and checked and edited by Reuters producers, ensuring high-quality content that complies with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias and Reuters guidelines for editorial use of AI.
