Mary Evans Picture Library are on the move …well, downsizing, as a huge proportion of their collection is now digitised.
Since 1989, the complete library has been based in Blackheath, London in beautiful Arts and Crafts style building (above graphic and take a tour inside here) which dates back to 1927. …PAN has been promised news on a new location a little later this year.
Congrats to photojournalist Carol Guzy at photo agency ZUMA Press who has won the Domestic Photography Award for her series, “ICE – Broken Families.” in the 2026 Robert and Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center Book & Journalism Award.
Guzy spent six months covering ICE detainments at an immigration court in New York, documenting the human impact of the Trump administration’s mass deportation campaign. Her gut-wrenching photos capture family separations with traumatized children caught in the crossfire.
ZUMA’s CEO Scott Mc Kiernan told PAN: ‘Very humbling and proud to give voice to the poor people stuck in the middle. By telling this story that needs be told and make pictures that need to be seen.‘

Look out for Click News & Media photo agency co-owner, Danny Hayward who is featured in a new BBC documentary called ‘The Golden Generation’ which captures the moment when football, fame and the media collided, and asks why England’s most gifted collection of players could never live up to the name. From Baden-Baden’s bars to Rooney’s red mist, this is the story of one of England’s most memorable World Cups – for all the wrong reasons.
Danny told PAN this week: “The documentary brought back memories of an extraordinary period for the picture industry. The England team and the rise of the WAG era created a huge appetite for celebrity and football photography, and many of the images from that time have become part of British popular culture. Twenty years on, it’s fascinating to see how the industry has transformed while the power of a great photograph to tell a story remains unchanged.”
