Iconic Images is offering its archive expertise/scanning services to photographers, estates and institutions through a bespoke photographic digitisation service.
Developed through our work with historically important collections, the service combines current digital scanning technology with museum-standard archival practice. Our production team works with photographic archives dating from the 1930s to the present day and understands the care required when handling original negatives, transparencies and other analogue material.
Every archive is different. A project may involve protecting a photographer’s complete body of work, preparing selected images for publication or exhibition, or making a collection more accessible for research, licensing and future use. We therefore begin with a consultation to understand the archive, the desired outcome and the available budget before recommending an appropriate approach.
