The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies – BAPLA – have warned it’s photo library members of some rogue activity by third parties offering deals across this years CEPIC Congress in London.
PhotoArchiveNews.com has seen one of these bogus offers (which have also been sent to picture libraries in general) – sent out via email and sent to us by a number of readers who were confused over the content and origin of the email.
The BAPLA warning reads …..’Finally, you may have been sent emails from third parties that are not BAPLA or CEPIC, suggesting other deals for the CEPIC Congress in London. Please note that no other deals have been authorised by CEPIC, and what may have been suggested was never possible. Certainly for this year, any deals or discounts will only be offered through CEPIC or authorised National Associations such as BAPLA. If you are offered another deal, please check with CEPIC or BAPLA first before signing up to it, to check its validity.’
If you are in doubt about an offer, please contact CEPIC [email protected]
If PhotoArchiveNews.com spots continued bogus offers next week we will reveal the author/s.
