Stock footage association FOCAL International has announced Louise Pankhurst as their new Managing Director – starting Feb 2026.
FOCAL says: ‘Louise brings a wealth of industry experience, contacts and knowledge, and we look forward to the fresh perspective and innovative ideas she will bring to our organisation. We are excited to start working with her to implement our shared aims for the benefit of our members and the entire archive industry.’
Louise says: “I am a technically trained film archivist with 20 years of experience in the film archiving sector. My career has spanned both private and public archives, giving me a broad perspective on preservation, access, and industry needs. I also bring extensive experience in event management and outreach, as well as a strong track record of collaborating with archive researchers and producers to help bring their projects to fruition.
I am very much looking forward to working with the entire FOCAL community and forging ahead with new initiatives.”
