Image Licensing Account Manager
The British Museum was founded in 1753 to promote universal understanding through arts, natural history and science. In 2006, British Museum Images was launched to make images of the British Museum’s collection easily accessible to clients throughout the world and support the Museum in its mission.
British Museum Images is the image licensing department of the British Museum and is now part of the newly formed Digital department. We supply thousands of images every year to an ever expanding and international client base. From books to magazines, CD/DVD-ROMs, Tablet apps and Online uses, to TV and documentary productions, corporate communication, advertising campaigns, Museum and exhibitions catalogues, posters, calendars, cards and more
We are looking for a proactive, mature and target driven professional to join the image licensing sales team, working primarily with our Museums and Broadcast market segments
The main responsibilities of this position will be to proactively manage and coordinate all aspects of image licensing client’s requests, including but not limited to, image search, price negotiation, new photography orders, and licensing agreements proposals as well as manage all administrative tasks associated with the sales process
This also involves retaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients in assigned market segments through regular client interactions and constant analysis of industry trends in order to anticipate customer’s needs and maximise overall business opportunities.
