Job Summary
As Image Licensing Manager you will be responsible for licensing images and sound from IWM’s collections for commercial use and developing new business, particularly within the media industries. You will also be motivating a small licensing team to meet their monthly/quarterly targets and handling key accounts.
Image & Film Licensing Department
IWM’s multimedia collections cover all aspects of conflicts in which British, Commonwealth or former Empire countries have been involved since the start of the 20th century, including photographs, artworks, oral history recordings and film. The Image & Film Licensing department is responsible for granting reproduction rights and supplying digital assets to creative professionals working across all media sectors, from publishing to broadcast. We have ambitious plans to continually develop our licensing business by optimising the customer experience, increasing access to our digitised collection, and building new revenue opportunities.
Key duties
You will be expected to work independently as well as across different teams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of IWM – using your knowledge, skills, talent and potential to the best of your ability.
You will focus at all times on delivering excellent customer service, ensure value for money at all times while being professional, courteous and demonstrating the behaviours and attributes expected of all IWM employees. You will also adhere to all corporate standards, and use corporate systems as directed to ensure consistency of service, brand and operational standards.
You will be expected to work across departments effectively, working with individuals, partners and where appropriate volunteers.
