Experienced in image management and have an interest in Shakespeare’s work or the theatre? The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) are seeking an Image Manager to cover a Maternity period for up to one year. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will manage the unique visual record of our work over the last eight decades.
Meticulously organised, you will ensure our digital image management system has the correct metadata, rights and copyright information attached, and that training needs across the Company are met. Commercially astute and entrepreneurial by nature, you will respond to requests for images (and increasingly AV) use and licensing from the press, publishers and the public whilst achieving yearly budget targets. You will help us grow brand awareness and extend our reach, by making sure our assets are also shared for public benefit.
Situated in a thriving open-plan office, this role needs someone who is personable and used to working as part of a busy team, as you will be the main contact for all internal and external enquiries. You know what makes a great picture, and you will work alongside colleagues to fill gaps in our portfolio by commissioning new photography as well as advising on IP and copyright issues.
This unique opportunity would suit someone with a background as a digital archivist or in an image library, who thrives in a varied and people-focused environment.
