Job summary
The Prime Minister’s Office enables the Prime Minster to deliver the Government’s overall priorities and to communicate the Government’s policies to Parliament, the public and international audiences. From the Policy Unit, Press Office, Switchboard and Custodians, to the Events & Visits team and the Private Office support; the diverse Downing Street team draws on varied expertise from across the Civil Service and beyond. The teams come together to deliver excellent service to the Prime Minister while also making No10 a great place to work.

Job description
The Digital team at the Prime Minister’s Office is at the forefront of communicating how government policy impacts the lives of people throughout the United Kingdom.

This role offers an experienced photographer an exciting new challenge, playing a critical role in capturing the daily activities of the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers and events in 10 Downing Street.

Your work will be seen by millions of people and has the potential to make a huge impact on their lives. Through visual story telling your work will help communicate the government’s key messages and will cover events at the forefront of the news agenda.

You will promote the work of ministers and the wider government visually, helping to stop the scroll and grab the attention across 10 Downing Street social media channels.

You will need to come up with creative ways of telling the stories of how the work of government impacts people’s lives and simplifying complex policies to cut through with the general public.

You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders including ministers, press officers and Special Advisors.
