Corbis contributing photographer Samuel Aranda has won the 2012 World Press Photo of the year for his work on Yemen for the New York Times.
Aranda shot the Yemeni Pro-democracy activists taking to the streets, protesting a decision to grant President Ali Abdullah Saleh immunity. Samuel Aranda worked anonymously in Yemen for weeks, as the only western photographer, capturing the volatility and unrest in the streets of a country struggling against dictatorship for a year.
