Fotofringe London exhibitor Skyscan have now made the Chorley Handford Aerial Archive searchable online.
This important collection dates from 1958 to 2006 and includes progress photography of many construction and regeneration programmes including Gatwick Airport, London’s Docklands and construction projects. Over 20,000 photographs have been scanned and can be viewed online. Library Manager Brenda Marks said ” This archive is important for property based industries as well as containing some gems for publishers such as changes to the Olympic site from the 1970’s. The location data from the survey records is sometimes very general but clients can ask if they can’t find what they require as we have several other historic archives we can also search for them.”
