Colorsport Images photographer Ian MacNicol has been shortlisted in the Nikon Sports Photographer of the Year category for the UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards 2011.
James Pinniger, Colorsport Chief Executive said: “I am very proud that Ian’s talent has been recognised in this prestigious competition. He is a very talented and versatile sports photographer.
“Sports photography is an increasingly competitive field and we have to compete against multi-million dollar multinational corporations. This hopefully goes to show that we are doing the right thing, and highlights the young, talented and dedicated team we are building here at Colorsport.”
Ian is currently in Daegu, covering the World Athletics Championship.
