In the UK – photo agency REX has united all the regional ITV archives under one roof at their central London headquarters.
They say: ‘We have recently taken delivery of the Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Anglia collections, which join the Granada, LWT, Carlton, ATV, Central and ITC archives already housed in our Clerkenwell offices and complete the ITV set.’ Over 400 metres of purpose-built shelving have been constructed to hold the physical archives from all of ITV’s previous storage locations.
250K images from the archives have been scanned with an ongoing programme to add thousands more.
