It looks like the image collections of German photo agency SZ Photo will now be licensed via Dpa picture alliance from 1st May. On a social media post the agency say:
Bye bye – Auf Wiedersehen – Au Revoir…
Hello – Willkommen – Bienvenue
An era is coming to an end – a new one is beginning.
We say thank you – to all the customers we have worked with – for almost 60 years, first at SV-Bilderdienst, later at SZ Photo!
Our excellent image offering will continue: The team from our cooperation partner @dpa_picturealliance will be available to answer all questions about licensing starting May 1, 2025.
And we’re not out of the loop either: During the transition period, we can be reached as usual as the SZ-Photo team.
We thank you for your trust and look forward to the new challenges.
UPDATED: 6 May – SZ Photo and Dpa told PAN: “Dpa picture alliance will take over the main distribution part in Germany. Some smaller partners of SZ Photo will continue to work with them directly. Furthermore, they will continue for the time being to handle their international partners and direct sales. Last but not least – this is an expanding sales and distribution partnership, and SZ Photo will remain and continue to work with their huge archive and digitize it further on.”

Trunk Archive have the weather vibe just right with this curated image selection Golden Hour Glow, in the UK at least!

OTTO has signed architectural and design photographer Chuck Choi for exclusive licensing – view the collection here.
