PAN featured photographer Phil Clarke Hill has published his first photo book in the form of a bookazine called ‘Free To Party’ after a successful kickstarter campaign.
I met with Phil yesterday at the Photographers Gallery London ….where, in the excitement of handing over my copy he managed to spill a whole glass of water almost covering the book, his mac and my phone – quick reactions all round saved the day – we’ve still got it Phil!
Anyway, great effort on getting the book together – Free To Party is an edit (guided by the esteemed photo editor Tom Broadbent ) of Phil’s photo reportage work covering the UK Free Party Rave scene over three years, 2010 2013.
Phil and Tom met on the pages of PAN in 2011 when Tom was Photo Director of Bizarre magazine and Phil was off to Brazil looking for his first assignment – Tom commissioned him and the rest is history, even if it only been a couple of years! Cheers chaps.
