BSR Agency acquires Chris van de Vooren photo collection

In the Netherlands press photo agency BSR Agency has acquired the archive of photographer Chris van de Vooren (Chris operated photo assignments under the ‘Gentle Look’ brand). The collection, consisting of hundreds of thousands of photographs of domestic and international music artists and will soon be made available on BSR website.

Chris van de Vooren started his photography career in 1968 studying to be a reportage photographer. His start with the music scene was in 1969 when, through a friend, he got the chance to shoot the Jackson 5 in Amsterdam. This  turned out to be the beginning of a good relationship, and he photographed the Jacksons regularly from then. He then started photographic assignements shooting album covers and PR gigs eventually expanding his business to Los Angeles for a few years in the 1990’s.

Chris van de Vooren said about the acquisition: “I am proud that my life’s work is in good hands and trust BSR Agency that they will manage my work in the best possible way now and in the future.”
