Bulls Press to close photo agency operations outside German speaking territories

German press agency Bulls Press will be closing all photo operations outside Germany speaking territories from 31 March 2017 to concentrate on their core German picture agency business.

In an email to suppliers seen this morning by PhotoArchiveNews.com Tord Steinsvik, President at Bulls Presstjänst AB Sweden explained:

I write to you today in an important matter. In spite of the hard work of our excellent picture team, our traditional picture operation has come to a crossroad.

 

The transformation of the media-landscape has fundamentally changed Bulls business as an agent. Digitalisation and globalisation have opened up for new co-operations and clients. Fast business growth has firmly established Bulls in the global fields of licensing/publishing, editorial solutions, graphical services, digital content solutions and content marketing.

 

Bulls digital solutions combine editorial properties and streams of content with digital tools. Demand is high and a rapidly growing number of editorial and commercial clients have teamed up with us world-wide. The content solutions are set up as client-subscriptions on pre-edited digital content streams and packages that include editorial properties and comics, pictures, videos, text, articles, games, crosswords/activity material as well as digital marketing tools. 

 

Strategically, we follow the shift of business and have taken the decision to close down our traditional picture agency operation outside the German speaking territories from the end of March.  Therefore we hereby formally terminate our agreement for the non-GSA territories and would kindly suggest a cancellation date from March 31^st 2017. We will focus investments on further building our German picture agency and on leveraging the growing businesses and look forward to a continued co-operation within these fields.
