Photographers at UK independent sports photo agency Colorsport have received recognition on the shortlists of the annual Sports Journalists’ Association British Sports Photography Awards held on Monday night.
Colorsport say: “Ian MacNicol is up in the Sports Portfolio category, while Andrew Cowie is on the list for the coveted Sports Picture of the Year Award for his snap (above) capturing the moment prop Tony Woodcock touched down for the All Black’s only try of October’s Rugby World Cup Final – “We are pretty impressed to get two nominations, as we are really the only “small” agency represented! Most others are Major Wire Agencies or National Publications.”
