Ex wire agency photojournalist and photo editor Rob Taggart is shooting the America’s Cup races

If you are after a close up view at the 36th America’s Cup racing taking place in Auckland New Zealand right now then contact PAN reader photographer Rob Taggart who is back shooting freelance after 35 years at photo agencies.

Rob is back shooting in his home town of Auckland after retiring from a career spanning Central Press in Fleet Street, Reuters and the Associated Press as photographer and head of photo operations.

Rob who is clearly enjoying retirement and meeting up with old friends again told PAN: “Sitting on the beach shooting Prada Cup contestants and America’s Cup defenders, Emirates Team New Zealand, in practice racing ahead of the Prada Cup starting on January 15. Covering the Prada and America’s Cup as a freelance – first time in 35 years not employed as a staffer for the wires and loving it. If anyone is looking for specific coverage contact me at [email protected].”

Sounds like you are having a ball Rob!
