EXCLUSIVE: Mirrorpix will be unveiling a sample copy of the Official Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary book tomorrow at Fotofringe!
They say: ‘Come along to Table 15 in the Battlebridge Room to visit the Mirrorpix team and be one of the first to see Rolling Stones 50’
The Rolling Stones: 50 draws on Mirrorpix’s extensive archive of photographs, with all the band members – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts – contributing material.
The title is being produced in collaboration with publishers Thames and Hudson and it is planned that this is to be the the first in a series of titles to be created from the Mirror Group’s extensive archives in partnership with the award-winning publisher.
With an initial print run of 250,000 copies worldwide and featuring over 700 illustrations (300 in colour) the title will be released on July 12 — exactly 50 years since the band’s first public appearance, at the Marquee Club on Oxford Street, central London.
The book will include archive photos from the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People, as well as never-before-seen memorabilia, with the project to be overseen by Charlie Watts, and each band member writing content to tell the band’s story.
