Flora Nedelcu, organiser of fotofringe London: “This, the third fotofringe day, looks like the best yet. 890 picture buyers/art buyers/designers registered in advance. On the day we had 700 people through the doors and found ourselves recycling the hand outs as people left – we had enough for our estimates but we ran out in the last 2 hours! Our exit poll of visitors was very encouraging – unanimous praise with one major design figure from New York requesting early notice of next year’s event so he can plan his annual trip to the UK around fotofringe, and another key UK designer being telephoned from the event and persuaded to drop everything and come over at once. As always, people appreciated the total focus on 120 image suppliers, fuelled by great coffee and the award-winning design of Kings Place as venue.”
