Fourth Eyewitness Usage For Specialist Stock

This image of Elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s reintroduction centres at Ithumba, in the remote north of Tsavo East National Park has landed UK photo agency Specialist Stock it’s fourth image usage in the Guardian newspapers Eyewitness photo feature. – the credit reads: Mick Baines and Maren Reichelt / SpecialistStock / BarcroftMedia.
They say: ‘These pictures were taken at one of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s reintroduction centres at Ithumba, in the remote north of Tsavo East National Park. The soil in Tsavo is deep red. The highlight of the orphans’ daily routine is a mid-day wallow in a bath of grey mud, followed by a liberal dusting of the red stuff. This is not just a colourful cosmetic to make them look splendid, it also acts as a deterrent to parasites and an all important sun block.’
The other three usages along with this one can be viewed on their site here.
