The Garden Media Guild has included a new category this year – Portfolio Photographer of the Year
Whether you’re a writer, book author, broadcaster, podcaster, blogger, vlogger or photographer, the GMG Awards celebrate all that’s best about our industry and we really want you to be a part of it. Remember that entering the awards is free for all Guild members and we’ve aimed to make the entry forms as uncomplicated as possible. You can enter up to three different categories as long as it’s not the same piece of work that’s being submitted. The awards will be handed out on Friday, November 27.

• The Garden Media Guild started life as the Garden Writers’ Guild in 1991, as the national organisation of professional communicators associated with the garden industry. The rationale behind the name change to The Garden Media Guild was simple – the Guild’s membership covers all aspects of garden media communication – including photography, videography, broadcasting, social media, lecturing, editing, illustrations and PR – as well as writing. It had become increasingly inaccurate and misleading to continue to call us the Garden Writers’ Guild.
The Guild encourages and rewards excellence in garden communication, assists members with various aspects of their careers and helps with educational aspects of the gardening communications industry.
