Global Image Works are now licensing a selection of images from Michael Landskroner, a professional photographer and photo editor for Good Times Magazine, he photographed hundreds of concerts in the New York City tri-state area from 1968 to 1979.
A huge music fan, Landskroner photographed musicians from the photo pit, on stage and from the perspective of the audience — where he made some of his most memorable pictures. Many of his photos have never been seen before.
Notable concerts include Bruce Springsteen’s performance at the Capitol Theatre in 1974, and KISS’s legendary performance at the Beacon Theatre in March 1975, where Landskroner expertly documented the energy and theatrics of the band as it was making the leap into superstardom.
The full collection edit should be online by January. Meanwhile contact the library for any request across the images.
