Gerald “GC”Foster 1885-1966 Jamaican athlete, cricketer and coach, who arrived in the UK for the Olympics in 1908 only to be told Jamaica was not affiliated to the IOC. He took part in high level athletics meets in the UK between 1908 and 1911 and played cricket for the West Indies from 1909-11 and during the 1924/5 MCC tour of the West Indies.
