Congratulations to PAN reader Douglas McCarthy who starts a new role at the Delft University of Technology as its Head of Library Learning Center on 3rd April.

After seven years at Europeana, the world’s largest aggregator of digital cultural heritage, former Mary Evans Picture Library, Royal Museums Greenwich and The Picture Desk staffer Douglas McCarthy will join TU Delft (Delft University of Technology – Netherlands) in April as its Head of the Library Learning Centre.

In his new role, Douglas will lead a team providing an inspiring learning environment and high-quality services inside TU Delft’s famous Library building. He will activate the Library’s extensive collections and knowledge, and give visitors (students, teachers, researchers) an inclusive role when creating, collecting and sharing knowledge.
