Industry people: Elliot Wagland Joins the Evening Standard – Head of Pictures

Elliot Wagland currently The Huffington Post and Group Picture Editor will be replacing current Evening Standard Head of pictures David Ofield who leaves the paper on April 15th. Dave leaves after 29 years on the picture desk which he joined from the Daily Star where he was Deputy Picture Editor. He intends to retire.

Elliot takes his new role as Head of Pictures looking after the paper and online in June. Previously to the Huffington Post he was Deputy Picture Editor Daily Mail, London February 2005 – January 2008 and Assistant Picture Daily Mirror, London Editor July 1998 – February 2005.
Dave will be returning to the Standard to see Elliot into the new role for a few weeks in June, and I am sure we will be seeing him around for a while yet…
