The Mega Agency brings another positive move to the industry here with their second hire announcement inside a week!
Eva Carrington has joined the celebrity photo agency’s U.S. sales team based in Los Angeles. A seasoned industry professional, Eva brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Deputy Picture Editor at The U.S. Sun. Her extensive career also includes positions as a photo editor at U.S. companies such as Coleman-Rayner, Pacific Coast News, and Star Magazine.
…AND … This appointment marks a return to collaboration with Mega Agency President, Kevin Smith, who first hired Eva in 1997 at Splash News! During her tenure, she played a key role in supporting the agency’s rapid global expansion, culminating in its acquisition by Corbis in 2011.
“I first worked with Eva in 1997 at Splash News’ Santa Monica offices,” said Smith. “The media landscape has evolved dramatically since then, but Eva’s sharp eye for opportunities and her ability to identify and secure high-value sales is an excellent addition to the team. ”
Eva joined The Mega Agency in mid-October and has already delivered notable results, including a €6,000 sale of an archive image to a brand. Her appointment follows the recent announcement that former New York Post editor David Boyle has joined Mega to lead subscription sales.
