Congratulations to Georgina Dallas the new Licensing Coordinator at Magnum Photos in London. Georgie will be working alongside Magnum’s Global Head of Licensing Ruth Hoffmann who introduced us via email this week.
Georgie told PAN: “I am the newest member of the Magnum team. Growing up in Brixton, London I became interested in photography at a young age. I found it to be a fantastic medium to capture my vibrant yet rapidly changing surroundings. During lockdown 2020, I completed a Magnum and Creativity Works course where I learned from industry professionals, including Magnum photographers. I stayed in touch with the Magnum team and when a job opening came up at the London office I was quick to apply.
“I am a licensing coordinator; I handle editorial image requests and liaise with photographers on placement of their images and stories. Some of our clients include Penguin Books, the Financial Times and the Telegraph newspaper among others. It is amazing to be able to access the Magnum archive and explore history through such beautiful images. My favourite part of the job is having creative freedom to select images from the archive to be put forward for client projects.”
