Well here’s a great hire! – CLICK News and Pictures, one of Britain’s leading exclusive showbiz picture agencies, has welcomed The Sun’s former Executive Showbiz Editor and Bizarre Columnist Simon Boyle to their growing team.
Alongside existing partners Danny Hayward, Ash Moore and John Churchill, Simon will further bolster Click’s story-gathering power – bringing his 16 years of experience as a senior showbiz journalist at The Sun, Mail on Sunday and Mirror newspapers to their line-up. In the last 12 months alone the agency scoops have included more than 250 page leads, spreads and front page exclusives across Fleet Street’s biggest titles – in addition to hundreds of sets of images.
Simon told PAN: “I’ve worked with Click for many years on some of the biggest scoops of my career – and there is nobody better. It made perfect sense to continue working side by side with the guys here. Nobody touches them in their sphere, and I’m certain I can add even more value to their output.
“I believe Click can become a one stop shop for our clients’ entertainment needs – producing the perfect mix of exclusivity, reliability and revelation for news and features that the industry and the wider audience simply can’t ignore.“ It’s just what we all do.”
Click Managing partner Danny Hayward told PAN: “For me Click was always about building an agency that would be better than everything that has gone before – we have all learnt a lot from the mistakes of agencies that have gone before us, and built fantastic relationships with many journalists and picture executives across the business, including Simon.”
“Having him on board allows us to look at the business in a different, broader way, than we have done so far – packaging up content across words and images and ultimately building a business which doesn’t just survive, but thrives, however turbulent the media landscape has become.
I believe we’re all the very best at what we do – and together we can achieve even more.”
