The Asia Pacific region is looking for a photo editor to be part of a dynamic team in New Delhi which handles South Asia’s increasingly busy photo production.
New Delhi has a four strong photo desk which handles the work of more than 30 virtually full time photographers and another 30 stringers across India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives and Bhutan.
Working under the authority of the South Asia photo manager and desk chief, the successful candidate will select, edit, write captions and validate the diverse production to AFP clients worldwide. The editor must monitor the news, features and sport events that could be of interest to AFP and follow up with the photographers to guarantee the quality production that is AFP’s trademark. Close collaboration with the video, text and graphics departments is essential.
