The family of Pulitzer Prize winning Associated Press photographer Alan Diaz who died in July this year have created the Alan Diaz Journalism Fund at Miami Dade College.
The fund will benefit student journalists at The Reporter, Miami Dade College student newspaper, and the MDC High School Journalism Institute. More on the fund and Alan’s life from The Reporter here
