Lee Miller Archive secures UK Gov lifeline grant

Hot on the news of Topfoto being awarded a chunk of the UK Culture Recovery Fund grant another library has also benefited – the Lee Miller Archives.

They told PAN: “Now facing winter, which is the toughest time of year for many arts organisations, in our fight to keep Farleys and the Lee Miller Archives going we used some of the time enabled by the  incredible response we had from the public to our crowd funder to apply for some grants. After numerous unsuccessful applications we are thrilled to be fortunate enough to be awarded one by @dcms @HeritageFundUK .”

“It means a lot to us to have Lee Miller, her archives, Roland Penrose and Farleys nationally recognised for their importance to the arts. With this grant we can be #HereForCulture and carry on moving forward making innovative plans. We all need to be #HereForCulture.”

  • Grants of up to £1 million will deliver a lifeline for the heritage sector in England with further support to follow and larger grants for capital projects awarded through the Heritage Stimulus Fund
