Painstakingly converted into digital format from original prints and negatives, the new online library brings many never seen before images to immediate access for researchers, academics, arts collectors and the public alike.’
All aspects of Millers work are represented in the archive: surrealist artist, World War II photo-journalist and 20th Century fashion and celebrity photographer. Among the 20th century personalities & artists she met and worked with, such as Clarke Gable, Fred Astaire, Dylan Thomas, Miró, Tapiés and Man Ray to name just a few.
There are moving and engaging images, the majority of which have never been seen in print or exhibition before now. Searchable by year, city, country or featured personality, the archive can be filtered to help source images of the era or person of interest.
