The photo team from Mary Evans Picture Library enjoyed an early morning bash this week at the National Portrait Gallery for the opening of the ‘Yevonde – Life and Colour’ exhibition.
ME told PAN: “We were delighted to host a private view of the Yevonde – Life and Colour exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, followed by a light breakfast in the glamorous Larry’s Bar, on the 3rd October.” Celebrating their collaboration with the NPG, who own Yevonde’s archive of colour photographs (Mary Evans own copyright in her black & white work and supplied numerous images to the exhibition), Mary Evans invited clients to a limited availability event for an exclusive viewing at the gallery prior to normal opening hours. It was a chance to see the stunning exhibition before it closes on 15th October and moves to the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle.
