CEO and founder at Blend Images Rick Leckrone has resigned, effective immediately. Sarah Fix, Creative Vice President has been named CEO by Blend’s LLC Managers.
Leckrone said, “It has been an enormous privilege to have led Blend Images for over a decade. I am extremely proud of the team we’ve built, our great collection of imagery, and the clients we’ve been honored to serve. Having worked with Sarah at Blend and other organizations for over 20 years, I’m confident the future is bright for our company under her leadership.”
“Sarah Fix brings strong creative and managerial talent to our most senior executive role. She has been involved in every aspect of Blend’s growth and has worked closely with our management team for over 13 years,” said LLC Manager Jamie Grill.
• Mr. Leckrone is a 27 year veteran of the stock content industry and graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. Before founding Blend Images, Rick was Co-Director of Content for Corbis Images after acquisition of Digital Stock where he held various senior management roles. He remains an owner and consultant to Blend Images.
• Ms. Fix has worked in senior leadership positions, as well as both sales and creative roles, for Westlight, Picture Arts and Corbis before joining Blend Images as Vice President Creative in 2003. She is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and has served as President of Digital Media Licensing Association from 2014-2016.
