A new history record site has launched mapping the Australian women who worked at all levels of the photographic industry between 1850 and 1950 – Phototoria.
PAN enjoyed the pictorial record of women working in the industry titled A Suitable Job for A Women – ‘a collectenea of images representing a century of women working in photography’ here …and very similar to the research work we provide on PAN’s Press Photo History site – with photo agency stamps and press photographers daily life – here and here.
