French photo agency Maxppp has announced the winning images from their French Regional Press Photographers for the 2022 competition. All the winners will feature in a traveling exhibition this year. The Sport and News winners are above.
Maxppp told PAN: “In 2022, the Maxppp press agency organised a competition for the best photos from their 36 partner news titles from the regional daily press to honour the photographers covering daily news events in France.
“The jury, made up of a member of the editorial staff of every newspaper, chose their best images every month, then narrowed the selections at the end of the year to chose the best photo for the two themes: News and Sport.”
202 sports photos were submitted and 310 news photos. The shoot criteria included ‘relevance and informative value, immediacy, but also originality and composition’.
• The first exhibition will take place in the headquarters of “Le Parisien” – date to be confirmed.
