The first Online Media Awards event took place last night – ‘There is no more exciting development in the world of media than online news and information. The biggies are out there of course: the BBC, NYTimes and the IndiaTimes.
With great resource and imagination, you would think they are unbeatable. Yet, it was a small website TMZ.com which brought the world the news of Michael Jackson’s death.
Now, for the first time, there?s an organisation ? the Online Media Awards ? that will identify the best and boldest of online news-based creativity and also the most original.’
