Berlin based photo agency IMAGO has announced Pakistan based documentary and street photographer, Hafsa Javed as the winner of the 2022 IMAGO Photography Scholarship.
IMAGO say: Javed’s striking street photography evokes the vibrancy of her surroundings and the lives of the locals. Buying her first ever camera ten years ago with her savings, Javed continues to use the same camera ten years on – the only thing that has changed for the photographer was constant practice. The IMAGO judging panel said, “Congratulations to a deserved winner. We were thrilled with Hafsa’s portfolio and we wish her all the best in her future photographic path. We are excited to start our collaboration.”
Hafsa Javed said, “The scholarship will enable me to be able to buy better equipment that will give me the extra push that I need in order to become even better and more focused while getting to learn about photography as much as possible.”
