For the first in our series of Photographer Talks, the Iconic Images Gallery will host the bold and endlessly surprising visual artists Formento + Formento for an evening of art, books, conversation and questions.
BJ Formento, an experienced fashion and street photographer, and Richeille Formento, a fashion designer and art director, are a husband and wife duo collaborating on projects that explore the cultural and aesthetic implications of place through staged environments and saturated colours. In locations that range from India to Japan, Formento + Formento have produced numerous books and a stunning portfolio of hallucinatory, provocative, and darkly beautiful images. Their work is held in the permanent collections of galleries worldwide.
Join us at 4pm on Saturday September 9th at The Iconic Images Gallery, 16 Waterloo Place, SW1Y 4AR. Artwork and books signed by the artist will be available for purchase on the night; the price of your ticket will be deductible from any purchase made.
