This week PAN spotted a fresh look into the range of stock video footage available at the StormStock library
The footage named Twister House was captured by library owner Martin Lisius who explains further: “As many of you know, one of my jobs is to produce weather and climate footage content for our StormStock collection. I’ve been doing it for almost 30 years, so I have to get creative occasionally. I had a “big storm approaching – farmhouse window POV” shot in my head for awhile and decided to go out and get it. While tracking a severe storm in west Texas, this abandoned farmhouse magically appeared like the Hogwarts Room of Requirement. Only 5 minutes to set up a rail on this window. We began rolling just as the storm arrived. If you watch this clip, be sure to activate the audio. :)”
Twister House technical data:
Sony FS7
Canon EF 24-105 f/4 lens
DCI 4K
Dynamic Perception slider
Location: Earth, Texas
This is a dolly shot I pulled off with the help of producer Kim George. Pretty dramatic. Even more dramatic was cleaning my gear afterwards. Camera, lens, rail – all coated in red dust. It was a blast to film though.
